Humanity

You know, it really pisses me off that when, as I was driving past a gas station on my way home from work, I noticed that gasoline was $2.49 a gallon, my first thought was “wow, that’s pretty cheap”.

Also, I’m really glad I get so much spam in my comments; otherwise, it would be difficult to keep up on all the latest pharmaceutical breakthroughs, medical lawsuits and sexual fetishes.

Knowledge

Yes, kids, National Library Week is here once again (April 2-8). Whether or not you’re not a regular patron of your local library, take a moment to reflect on the fact that public libraries, at least in this country, are one of the few institutions that have (so far) managed to keep the ever-watchful eye of The Man at bay. Even though I’m sure that millions of terrorists, anarchists and other deviants are using our libraries to further the causes of EVIL, the 1st Amendment still guarantees (for now) the right to freedom of expression. Let’s keep it this way. Knowledge is power.
