Pain
Wired has a fascinating article regarding advances in pain management, both during surgery and after, for victims of the war that is currently raging in Iraq. Not only is the technique fascinating to my geeky mind, but the article also offers some insightful looks into the mindsets of persons on all sides of the war. A slightly long read, but worth it in my opinion.
