Is that a 10 foot paper phallus in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?
And now for something completely different.
The Register is reporting that “pornogamist” Nick Robinson not only created a 10 foot origami penis, but then proceeded to wave it to and fro from in front of the London Assembly (locally known as the “Glass Bollock” due to its testicular shape). Bloody brilliant, I say.

Disgust
I am truly at a loss for words over this latest piece of news to cross my desk. The Ohio GOP has filed 35,000 pre-election challenges against people who they claim are guilty of voter registration fraud. In addition, in my particular county alone, the OGOP will be putting 200 paid “challengers” at selected polling places to harass voters and generally make the voting process a hassle – presumably in hopes that voters will get fed up with waiting in line and will leave.
I really can’t put into words the absolute disgust that I’m feeling about this. Is this democracy in action? Is this the sort of thing that makes you proud to live in this country? I am sick and tired of all the bullshit that the GOP has been pulling and I truly hope that this sort of behavior acts as a wake-up call to the majority of Americans. It’s time to take back our rights, dammit.
If you’d like to do something about this, both the Election Protection Coalition and the Lawyer’s Committee for Civil Rights Under Law have lots of information on things you can do to help.
BTW, the two links above from the Dayton Daily News require an asinine registration process. Here are the cached Google versions of the articles: [Link 1] [Link 2]
[update] I see the same thing is starting to happen in Florida, too.
